Little Debbie's Family Services, Inc. opened to the community. This comprehensive intervention center for empowering families offers intense counseling with the goal to preserve families, parent education, specifically teen parents, and teen program components to educate and empower young adults.

Little Debbie's Family Services,Inc. is proud to launch our GED preparation and vocational training program for youth and adults who are in need of a second chance in life. This component of our program will include on site GED training, career, employment, and life skills coaching. We are very excited about this program because it is a necessity in our community.

Little Debbie's Family Services, Inc. hosted their first "Helping Hands" orientation, which included Stand Up For Kids Atlanta. Offering mentor and volunteer opportunities to the members of our surrounding community was beneficial for LDFS, Inc. and its programs mission. Building partnerships with other organizations and community individuals is the orientations main focus. A helping hand is a helping hand no matter how it is lent and we look forward to our second "Helping Hands" orientation in the near future.

Little Debbie's Second Chance Homes, Inc. is proud to announce the opening of our transitional living home. It is an alternative for young women age 18+ to smoothly transition from the group home environment to being on their own. As we celebrate the opening of our transition home we are also celebrating many of our residents obtaining summer employment. They are empowering and preparing themselves for bigger and brighter futures!

Little Debbie's Second Chance Homes, Inc. has merged with Ida's Cove group home. Ida's Cove is now under the direction of Ms. Lakisha Stiggers. This means more young women have the chance to experience the same empowerment and preparation as the residents of Little Debbie's Second Chance Homes. Welcome to the family Ida's Cove!

Little Debbie's and Ida's Cove's monthly celebration(s) have started. It is an opportunity for the residents to display their talents, share their thoughts, and ,most importantly, be recognized for their progress in everyday life. Guest Speaker Diane Wilson Jones of Creative Realization Inc. stopped by to offer the girls a few words of wisdom and encouragement. The celebration will commence each month to celebrate excellence, togetherness, and a second chance.

Little Debbie's Family Services, Inc.'s GED program has begun! Members of the community have started their journey to securing their educational futures and improving the skills they will need to obtain their GED. The program is under the direction of Ms. Martha Blocker, LDFS Inc.'s Educational Director. We wish all of the participants luck and success in their endeavor.

We are proud to announce that 3 of Little Debbie's Resident's have enrolled in Georgia Perimeter College. They breaking barriers and creating a legacy for generations to come in their families.
December 2009
One of Little Debbie's residents has completed the program, as well as all entailed clinical services, and reunited with her family. Family reunification is one the main goals of Little Debbie's and we are proud to have another success story come from our program.
January 2010
Two residents have matriculated through the program and obtained their own apartment. Using the independent living skills learned at Little Debbie's, we are sure they will succeed and continue to do great things.

Congratulations to two of Little Debbie's residents for obtaining their high school diplomas!We are very proud that they stuck it through and did something that many young people don't. Little Debbie's and Ida's Cove have also had a celebration of excellence for all of the residents that have accomplished significant goals during the school year. We push all of our residents to make positive and rewarding decisions and are proud of their accomplishments.
